Samreen Zaman is a Senior Molecular Technologist at the Aga Khan University Hospital, where she supervises the molecular diagnostics bench and oversees quality control operations as the laboratory’s QC Coordinator. She is responsible for assay validations, developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring the implementation of best laboratory practices. Her commitment to maintaining high-quality standards has been demonstrated through the successful defense of her section in three consecutive CAP (College of American Pathologists) audits.
Ms. Zaman earned her MPhil in Molecular Pathology and Genomics from Forman Christian College University, Lahore. Her academic and professional experience has equipped her with a strong foundation in the molecular mechanisms of disease and the clinical application of genomics. Her key interests include clinical correlation studies, focusing on the association between genetic mutations and disease phenotypes.
