Dr Sarah B. Kingan has a PhD in Biology from Harvard University where she studied in the lab of Daniel Hart. She did a postdoc at the University of Rochester in New York. She has over 10 years of experience in biotech as a bioinformatics scientist and product manager and marketer. At PacBio she developed methods and best practices for phased genome assembly and contributed to high quality reference genomes across the tree of life. She currently leads the long read DNA applications product team which includes targeted and whole genome sequencing workflows focused on germline screening and diagnostics research.
