Principal Scientist
Integrated DNA Technologies
Alexandra Hui Wang holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from New York University, where she explored DNA interactions and was the first to expand DNA nanotechnology to RNA by designing directed hybridizations and custom enzymatic reactions. Following her post-doctoral research in Nanopore Technology at Harvard University and protein engineering at The Scripps Research Institute, Alexandra has been leading innovations, research, and commercialization in biotechnology and genomics for over 20 years. Her work focuses on DNA and RNA measurements and emerging technology development. Her products include reagents and workflows for PCR, microarrays, NGS, sample extractions, and reference standards. Alexandra is a Principal Scientist at IDT. She created the new approach and formulation of xGen Hyb Wash v3.
