My name is Chaugiang Duong, and I have almost a decade of experience in the high-volume clinical laboratory environment, specializing in molecular diagnostics and pathology.
As a Scientist at NeoGenomics Laboratories, my role was dedicated to assay development. I have significant experience in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing results, troubleshooting assay performance, and developing molecular testing protocol validations for clinical use and documenting performance characteristics according to industry standards. A specialty of mine is in identifying optimization opportunities, providing data-driven solutions for continuous improvement, involving high levels of cross-collaboration with R&D, Clinical Development, Quality Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Bioinformatics teams. Currently, my role has transitioned into regulatory and quality affairs. Due to my experience and technical expertise, I create crucial technical documentation—including SOPs, laboratory workflows, and analytical validation reports—to ensure strict compliance for CAP/CLIA audits and to support submissions to various regulatory agencies (NYS DOH, FDA). I also prepare technical assessments for managed care reimbursement, such as MolDX, and write scientific papers and abstracts for publication. I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and technical credentials in both MB(ASCP) and CGMBS.
