Sheila Shurtleff, PhD, HCLD is the Molecular Pathology Laboratory Director in the Molecular Pathology and Cytogenomics Section of Laboratory Medicine at Cleveland Clinic and Associate Professor of Pathology at Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She also serves as the Director of Test Development for her section and the Education coordinator for the Molecular Pathology and Cytogenomic Pathology resident rotation. She is actively involved in the signout of molecular clinical cases, regulatory compliance for the laboratory, new test development/validation/implementation, and education of medical technologists, residents and fellows. Dr. Shurtleff's research interests include the genomics and epigenetics of somatic malignancies and the application of new methodologies to molecular testing.
