Zhe “Jason” Zhu, MD, PhD
Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, NY
Dr. Zhu is a third-year Anatomic Pathology/Neuropathology resident at Columbia University and a W. P. Carey Scholar. He earned his PhD in biology from Heidelberg University, focusing on epigenetic profiling and next-generation sequencing of brain tumors. His translational research bridges diagnostic neuropathology with computational and molecular analyses to uncover metabolic and immune mechanisms driving glioblastoma and other CNS neoplasms. Dr. Zhu has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and received multiple national awards, including the ASIP Merit Award (2025). His long-term goal is to integrate morphologic, genomic, and spatial data to advance precision cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
