Description: Recent advances in epigenetics have transformed our understanding of B-cell lymphomas, revealing how DNA methylation signatures reflect cell-of-origin, track clonal evolution, and predict clinical behavior. In this session, novel insights into the classification of splenic B-cell lymphomas using DNA methylation profiling will be presented, highlighting how these approaches can improve classification and therapeutic targeting. The concept of fluctuating DNA methylation as a tool for lineage tracing will then be introduced, with a discussion on how this approach uncovers the evolutionary trajectories of over 2,000 lymphoid malignancies. Together, these talks illustrate the convergence of diagnostic epigenetics and evolutionary biology in advancing lymphoma care.
