Senior Scientist II
Harbinger Health
Giannis Ladas, PhD, is a Senior Scientist II in Assay and Product Development at Harbinger Health in Cambridge, MA, where he leads product development, process improvements, COGS initiatives and data governance/analytics. With over a decade of expertise in molecular diagnostics and oncology, he previously served as a Senior Application Scientist at Foundation Medicine, overseeing data governance, product launches, hypercare activities. He also provided technical support for NGS-based clinical assays and collaborated internationally across the US and Europe.
Dr. Ladas's research career includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where he advanced cancer diagnostics through innovative nucleic acid technologies. His work focused on developing and validating methods for detecting low-frequency mutations and biomarkers in liquid biopsies, including techniques like nuclease-assisted mutation enrichment (NaME), high-resolution melting (HRM), denaturation-enhanced digital droplet PCR, and methylation-sensitive enrichment of minor DNA alleles.Earlier, he trained as an embryologist and andrologist at Fertility Centers of New England.
He holds a PhD in Molecular Endocrinology from Cardiff University (2015), an MSc in Clinical Embryology from Oxford University (2011), an MRes in Human Molecular Genetics from Nottingham University (2010), and a BSc in Biochemistry with Genetics from Lancaster University (2009). Currently pursuing an MBA at University of Massachusetts.
