Born and raised in Northwest China, Vince Duan is a senior Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellow at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He graduated from the MDA-SHP Diagnostic Genetics Program (cytogenetics track) in 2018. He then joined the Lupski Lab at Baylor College of Medicine, where he completed his predoctoral training and postdoctoral research from 2018 to 2023. His work focused on rare Mendelian disease research, particularly family-based exome sequencing analysis in neurodevelopmental disorders and congenital limb malformations. Outside the lab, he enjoys hiking and running.
