Laboratory and Scientific Director
Wren Laboratories
Mark Kidd, PhD, DABCC is an accomplished cancer biologist with over 25 years of specialized expertise in cancer transcriptomics and biomarker development. As the Laboratory and Scientific Director of Wren Laboratories, he is dedicated to developing and clinically translating diagnostic biomarkers in liquid biopsies, including whole blood and saliva. Dr. Kidd’s work, which spans multiple cancer types including breast, colon, lung, neuroendocrine, and prostate cancer, focuses on detecting unique molecular signaling pathways that characterize these cancers. He has focused on mRNA-based platforms to develop gene expression assays that capture signaling pathways unique to neoplasia and provide information relevant to the biology of the tumor (degree of aggressiveness, response to therapy). His experience in the successful translation of biomolecular tools to the clinical setting is highlighted by over 10 years of work at Wren Laboratories.
