Vaish Panchapakesa
Development Scientist III, Applications and Product Development
Vaish Panchapakesa is a Development Scientist in the department of Applications and Product Development at New England Biolabs. Vaish received her Masters in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied the effects of functional perturbation of Profilin, an actin binding protein, on breast cancer cell migration and invasion. She then joined Applied Biosystems/Life Technologies, where she worked on sample preparation for the SOLiD platform and later Ion Torrent sample preparation workflows for the PGM platform from a very early stage. She joined NEB in 2013 and has been instrumental in the development of many key NEBNext products including the NEBNext UII DNA, UII FS and NEBNext EM-seq.
