Elizabeth Enrico, PhD, is a Scientist III at ARUP Laboratories’ Institute for Research and Innovation in Diagnostic and Precision Medicine. With over 15 years of experience across academic, government, and industry sectors, Dr. Enrico specializes in translational research and diagnostic development. She holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology and a graduate degree in Forensic Science.
Her career includes roles at Teiko Bio, where she conducted immune profiling studies using mass cytometry, and at the Utah Public Health Lab, where she supervised high-complexity molecular diagnostics. She has presented her work at major conferences, including AACR, ASCO, and the Next Generation Dx Summit. Her recent publications explore cancer immunotherapy and AI-assisted diagnostics.
At ARUP, Dr. Enrico leads feasibility and validation studies for novel diagnostic assays, supporting both clinical implementation and FDA submissions. Her work involves designing and executing feasibility and validation studies, and optimizing workflows to meet regulatory and clinical standards. She is particularly interested in emerging technologies surrounding liquid biopsy and minimally invasive diagnostics, and is actively exploring their integration into ARUP’s test menu.
