Dr. Repnikova holds the position of Assistant Director of the Clinical Genetics and Genomics Laboratory at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and serves as the Director of the Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellowship Program.
Dr. Repnikova received BS and MS degrees in Nuclear Physics from Saint -Petersburg State Polytechnical University in Russia and PhD in Genetics from Texas A&M University. She then completed Post-Doctoral ABMG fellowship trainings in Clinical Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics in the specialties of Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics.
Dr. Repnikova’s expertise encompasses the interpretation of variety clinical laboratory genetics test results, including constitutional and oncology chromosome analysis, FISH, microarray analysis, and various molecular-based assays including optical genome mapping and whole genome next-generation sequencing. She is actively engaged in educating pathology residents and laboratory genetics and genomics fellows, as well as conducting research aimed at enhancing the understanding of genetic anomalies in hereditary disorders and cancer.
