Senior Genomics Scientist
Inocras Inc.
Chunyang Bao, PhD, is a Senior Genomics Scientist at Inocras Inc., specializing in cancer genomics analysis. Before joining Inocras, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, where he studied genomic evolution in early cancer and precancerous lesions under the supervision of Dr. Adam Bass and Dr. Cheng-Zhong Zhang. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Pennsylvania, investigating association between mutational signatures and drug response.
Dr. Bao obtained a PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he investigated the biological functions of liver-specific microRNAs in liver cancer. He later joined Fudan University as a Research Associate, focusing on transcriptomic networks of circular and long non-coding RNAs in human cancers. His early curiosity about large-scale genomic data inspired his transition from experimental biology to computational cancer genomics—a field he continues to advance through integrative analysis and tool development.
