Ekaterina (Katia) Star is a Staff Scientist in Research & Development at Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), specializing in the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) product line. Her work focuses on the development and optimization of NGS workflows including library preparation, target enrichment, input sample characterization and panel optimization, helping researchers unlock deeper insights from genomic data. She holds a Master of Science in Medicine (M.Sc. Med) in Microbiology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where her research focused on the dual targeting mechanisms of enzymes in mammalian cells, which deepened her expertise in cellular biology and molecular mechanisms.
