Dr. Tingwei Guo is an Associate Professor at Pathology and Associate Director of Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He is board-certified in ABMGG Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics and had been trained extensively in both inherited diseases (germline mutations) and Cancer (somatic mutations). He also received extensive training in bioinformatics and biostatistics, and had more than 10 years of collaborative research experience in an international consortium and have made many achievements in the field of translational genetics. His primary research goal is to identify acquired and inherited genetic drivers or modifier and investigate oligogenic and polygenic inheritance or acquired patterns of cancers by integrating electronic health records (EHR) and clinical genetic testing results. He aim to apply this knowledge to improve disease diagnosis and develop effective treatments.
