Dr. Kakoli Das, PhD, is a Senior Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist leading the Molecular Pathology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. With over two decades of experience, she has conducted cancer genomics research at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore and later served as faculty in the Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Programme at the Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. She secured multiple research grants focused on biomarker-driven precision oncology in prostate and gastric cancers and was instrumental in establishing the Diagnostic Molecular Oncology Centre.
Currently, her work focuses on integrating molecular diagnostics into clinical practice, improving diagnostic efficiency through automation, and enhancing molecular reporting quality. She also mentors medical residents and contributes actively to molecular tumor board discussions on molecular test interpretation and patient management.
