John Milligan is the director of product development at Asuragen, a Bio-Techne brand, where he leads the department in developing state of the art molecular diagnostic assays in our genetics and oncology portfolios. He is an expert in PCR-based assays including qPCR, capillary electrophoresis, and targeted panels on long-read sequencing platforms like nanopore. He is an avid lover of music, and has played guitar, drums, vocals, and songwriting in a number of bands over the last 16 years.
