Dr. Omar Gandarilla Cuéllar is a physician and translational researcher whose work bridges clinical medicine and cancer immunology, genetics, and disparities. He is currently completing his Internal Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and conducts research in gastrointestinal (GI) oncology in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine.
His current work integrates transcriptomic and pathway analyses to define molecular subtypes of colorectal cancer with prognostic and therapeutic significance. Dr. Gandarilla Cuéllar’s long-term goal is to advance precision immuno-oncology through research that connects molecular mechanisms to clinical innovation, improving outcomes for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.
