Senior Technical Project Manager
Thermo Fisher Scientific – Global Professional Services
Victoria Quiett is a molecular diagnostics and validation specialist with over a decade of experience leading high-complexity genetic testing and analytical validation initiatives. As a Senior Technical Project Manager within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Global Professional Services organization, she designs and implements qPCR-based validation workflows spanning pathogen detection, pharmacogenomics (PGx), and genotyping applications in regulated laboratory environments.
Her expertise includes respiratory, urinary tract, sexually transmitted infection (STI), gastrointestinal, and fungal pathogen detection, as well as custom assay development using QuantStudio™ platforms. Victoria leads end-to-end validation for laboratory-developed tests (LDTs), ensuring compliance with CLIA, CAP, NY State, and FDA standards. She authors detailed validation plans and protocols, develops synthetic plasmids and gene strings for custom targets, and leverages automation and analytics to enhance experimental efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Before joining Thermo Fisher, Victoria managed a clinical genetics laboratory, overseeing regulatory compliance, assay design, and full-scale qPCR and NGS operations. She successfully led CAP inspections, validated pharmacogenomic, hereditary cancer, and microbiome panels, and directed all stages of laboratory workflow from extraction and quantification to sequencing and analysis.
Beyond the laboratory, Victoria has presented scientific webinars—including Analytical Validation for qPCR and qPCR for Pharmacogenomics through LabRoots—and continues to shape Thermo Fisher’s Professional Services portfolio. Her work advancing the Assay Performance Assessment (APA) program and developing compliance and validation consulting frameworks reflects her commitment to operational excellence.
Victoria holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brenau University and is pursuing a Master of Biotechnology at Harvard University. She is driven by a passion for bridging molecular science, regulatory rigor, and innovation to advance personalized medicine worldwide.
