Dr. Supawadee “Apple” Chawanthayatham is a Principal Scientist at Harbinger Health, where she leads the technology development and clinical validation of HarbingerHx’s cfDNA methylation–based multi-cancer early detection assay. With over a decade of experience in early cancer detection and molecular diagnostics, she is driven by the belief that detecting cancer early makes it possible to manage the disease.
Dr. Chawanthayatham directs assay design transfer and high-throughput implementation under rigorous regulatory frameworks, integrating translational science with precision engineering to enable scalable, population-level testing. She earned her Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from MIT, where she pioneered Duplex Sequencing to study mutational signatures of carcinogens-work recognized with the MIT Znaty Award and the Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship.
