Heather Sadler currently serves as the Molecular Supervisor for Axia Women’s Health Mid-Atlantic Physician-Owned Laboratory (POL) in Oaks, PA. In this role, she oversees a team of five full-time molecular technologists performing services in FDA-approved infectious disease testing across multiple platforms and an FDA-approved genetic screening assay for Cystic Fibrosis, as well as a laboratory-developed test (LDT) for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). Heather maintains competency across all lines of service for her department while providing daily oversight to all personnel and processes within the department’s scope of testing. Current professional interests include large-scale data management/data analytics, quality assurance/quality control, and project management. Heather attended The George Washington University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology as well as a Master of Science degree in forensic molecular biology. She is certified as a Technologist in Molecular Biology by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and has maintained this certification through the Credential Maintenance Program since 2016. Prior to her current supervisory role, Heather worked as a bench technologist for 8 years across a variety of molecular biology disciplines, including forensics, pharmacogenomics, and medical diagnostics.
