R&D Scientist IV
ARUP Laboratories
Keith Tardif is a R&D scientist at ARUP Laboratories involved in the development and validation of clinical diagnostic tests. He was educated at the University of Florida (BS) and Iowa State University (PhD) where he gained experience in polymer chemistry and biochemistry. To delve a bit deeper into his interest in viruses, he studied the hepatitis C virus at the University of Colorado as an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow. The experience gained in virus research was put to the test at Myriad Genetics where he identified cellular targets required for HCV and HIV replication in the early stages of the drug development process. His drug development work continued with the pre-clinical development of cancer drugs targeting the cell cycle. In his transition to clinical test development, he has built tests that have improved patients care for ARUP clients.
