Dr. Madina Sukhanova is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She earned her PhD degree in genetics from the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk University, Russia and completed her clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics fellowships at the University of Chicago. She has been with Division of Molecular Pathology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital since 2018 where she is the co-director of the cytogenetics laboratory and assistant technical director of molecular diagnostics laboratory. Her research work focuses on evidence-based subclassification of high-risk hematologic malignancies and identification of genetic markers of potential therapeutic significance.
