Dr. Kwang Seob Lee is a clinical pathologist and research fellow at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Yonsei University, where he trained in laboratory medicine and developed expertise in clinical genomics and biomarker research. His clinical work involves the application of advanced molecular diagnostic techniques, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), cell-free DNA analysis, and metabolomics, to improve cancer diagnostics and precision medicine.
Dr. Lee’s research has contributed to multiple interdisciplinary studies spanning cancer genomics, clonal hematopoiesis, and metabolic biomarkers for chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes. He has co-authored publications in high-impact journals, including Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, highlighting the clinical relevance of circulating biomarkers, genomic profiling, and novel predictive markers. Dr. Lee’s recent projects integrate genome editing with functional genomics to validate variant pathogenicity, refine cancer predisposition screening, and explore therapeutic vulnerabilities. By bridging genome editing, germline predisposition analysis, and somatic variant curation, his work contributes to advancing precision medicine and translating cutting-edge molecular tools into clinical practice.
