Dr. Eldomery received his medical degree from Cairo University and completed training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Indiana University and in molecular genetic pathology at Baylor College of Medicine. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, his clinical role focuses on interpreting and reporting genomic testing for pediatric cancers, including tumor profiling and hereditary cancer predisposition analysis, using whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing, transcriptome profiling, and methylation analysis.
Over the past decade, his work has led to the discovery of ten novel gene–disease associations and underscored the value of germline reanalysis in improving diagnostic yield. His research focuses on advancing genomic interpretation, bridging germline cancer predisposition and somatic variant curation to drive precision medicine.
