Emeritus Professor
University of Nebraska Medical Center
Edmonds, Washington, United States
Dr. Greiner has been an expert in the development of multiple methods for the detection of T-cell receptor gamma (TRG) gene arrangements for clinical laboratories. This has been extremely important as the methods became an aid to support the diagnosis of peripheral T-cell lymphomas in paraffin embedded tissue. He served as a hematopathologist, molecular pathologist and lymphoma researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 30 years. Prior to his recent retirement as Emeritus Professor, he was working on applying next generation sequencing methods for TRG and TRB in his research laboratory. As a lifelong member of AMP since its inception, he has previously presented on T-cell receptor gene rearrangements and mutation detection in lymphomas in multiple AMP posters, workshops and plenary sessions. He currently is a member of the AMP NGS Utility for Assessment of T/B-cell Clonality Working Group.
