Ray Hein, Ph.D. is the Molecular Field Partner for Roche Diagnostics Medical and Scientific Affairs. He joined Roche MSA in June of 2011 as a Principal Applications Scientist for molecular diagnostics supporting the Transplant portfolio, Lab Developed Tests and the Midwest region. Prior to joining Roche Ray spent 8 years in the Department of Molecular Diagnostics at Clinical Reference Laboratory where he held many positions including Director of Forensic Services, Production Manager and Senior Staff Scientist. While at CRL Ray developed genetic marker assays specific for sports injuries, obesity, alcoholism, drug addiction and schizophrenia. He managed the team responsible for HLA genetic typing and post-transplant viral load monitoring for solid organ and stem cell transplants. He has also overseen drug development clinical trials working with multiple pharma partners.
