Kaede Ota Sullivan is a board-certified infectious diseases specialist and medical microbiologist. She is Professor and Vice Chair, Academic Affairs in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Associate Director of the Microbiology, Virology & Immunology Laboratories with the Temple University Health System. She holds a Master of Epidemiology and Health Care Research from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple. She has served on several national committees including the SHEA Diagnostic Stewardship Task Force, the HICPAC NHSN Surveillance Workgroup, and the College of American Pathologists’ Microbiology Committee. Her research focuses on diagnostic stewardship of microbiology tests and optimization of laboratory policies that impact infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
