Description: Accurate tumor burden assessment is important for pre-analytical and analytical aspects of the molecular workflow. This talk will describe two methods for tumor content estimation, one through digital whole slide imaging and the other through next-generation sequencing data. The first speaker will describe how the p-Yield system leverages a deep learning model trained on H&E whole slide images to forecast tumor nucleic acid yield and number of slides required for extraction. The second speaker will discuss methods, applications, and clinical considerations for estimating tumor purity and ploidy from next-generation sequencing data
